Multiple self-retracting lifelines are temporarily installed in a Toronto theatre above a catwalk in a ceiling cove. They provide fall arrest to workers who need to reach outside the catwalk guardrails to access theatre lights. Due to their classification type and low frequency of use these units only require a pre-use and annual inspection by a competent person. They are not required to be sent away for an annual inspection/revalidation.
